Day 1, Chiang Mai - Hmong Hilltribe (L/D)
After pick up from a point of your convenience ( hotel, airport, railway station or bus terminal in Chiang Mai) we depart by Land Rover or to pay a visit to the hilltribe museum and local market in Mae Malai. After that we continue to Ban Mae Taman to take a ride on an elephant for an hour follow by a ride on an ox-cart. A picnic lunch will be served on the way. After lunch it is time for some rafting, down the rapids of the scenic Mae Tang River for about an hour. Commence by car to visit Ban Pang Hai – a simple village in the mountains. Later check in at the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for a BBQ- dinner and a presentation of traditional dances and overnight.
Day 2, Hmong Hilltribe (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive to the small village of Ban Teen Doi where you take a short hike to Ban Mae Pa. Later, action will gear up, as get on your mountain bike for a ride to Ban Palan and Ban Pong Kwaw, where you will visit an old temple with beautiful wall paintings. Lunch will be served as picnic on the way, before you proceed by car to the villages of Ban Pok, Ban Pang Kwai and Ban Nong Hoi Mai. From here we will get on the bikes again and go from Ban Nong Hoi Mai to the village of Mae Khi , where you can have coffee or tea in the Hmong’s kitchen. Later we return to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3, Hmong tribe - Chiang Mai (B/L)
After breakfast, we leave the lodge and go to Nong Hoi Kao to visit the Royal Project, where the hill tribe villagers are educated to grow vegetables and flowers. The Royal Project also buys the products from the villagers, to exhibit them at Queen Sirikit’s Botanical Garden and orchid farm. Lunch will be served at at local restaurant and after lunch you will visit a snake farm, before being transferred back to your hotel.
